This is what summer is all about: berries. My favorite way to use them? Dessert, of course. I adapted this from a Martha Stewart recipe, but, as I’m sure you know, no two crumbles are alike. Swap out the berries for your favorites, use more oats, add chopped nuts. Like I always say, do your thing.
Ice cream, however, is not optional.
Strawberry + Blueberry Crumble:
3 cups blueberries [frozen or fresh]
3 cups strawberries [frozen or fresh]
1 Tbsp corn starch
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp coarse salt
1/3 cup sugar
-combine all ingredients in a bowl and spread evenly into a 9 x 13 pan
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup flour
3 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp syrup [I used ]
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp coarse salt
-combine all ingredients in a bowl and spoon evenly over berry mixture
Bake at 375˚ for 1 hour. Enjoy!
